Today we got up early and took the bus to the ferry and got to see the shoreline and cute homes along the way. We played Shanghai Rummy on the 45 minute ferry ride back. When we got back to our car, we drove to see Plymouth Rock where the Pilgrims first landed. We also got to tour a replica of the Mayflower (The Mayflower II). That was really interesting… it wasn’t very big and there were over 100 people aboard. It took them 66 days to sail to America! Then we headed for Plimoth Plantation where we learned about early pilgrim life and also the way the Indians lived at the time. We had lunch there and visited their cute gift shops. Then we drove to Boston (where we started this whole adventure)! We checked into our hotel there (the Marriott—very nice!), and dropped off all our luggage and stuff. Then we headed to the airport to drop off our rental car as we do not want to drive in Boston! We even had a hard time getting to the airport and had to turn around a lot because we missed a turn, or something! Lots of one way roads and the freeway is CRAZY!!! Then we headed back to the hotel. We ate dinner at a really yummy seafood restaurant close to the hotel called Legal Seafoods. It was just right across the street so it was easy to get to without a car. After, we relaxed in our hotel room. It had been raining most of the day, so it felt good to get showered and warm! We finished our game of Shanghai that we’d started on the ferry. I won!! (Again!)
