Race Day!!!!

It was a super fun day at the Mesa Marathon! We got up super early and got to the race and slept in the car for about an hour before we walked to the race start. We tried to stay warm and the atmosphere was really fun! The race was fun but I'm REALLY GLAD it's over!!! Ruby did great and came in right after me... we should've just stayed together. Jenell came in with Henry quite a bit later and he was really struggling. He went out a bit fast and didn't train at all for the race, so he was really hurting. We were all glad to be done and all of us were really sore! Another race in the books!

Mesa Marathon Expo!

It was a gorgeous cloudy and cool/breezy day today! We had fun at the race expo and got lots of freebies! Henry and Jenell even walked over to see batting practice for the Chicago Cubs--they gave Henry a baseball but he and Jenell were too chicken to ask anybody to sign it!

We enjoyed having Jenell, Ruby and Henry come stay with us for the race! We took this picture for Katelyn who called as we were sitting down for dinner! She had FOMO!

Jenell, Ruby and Henry flew in tonight... they're all running the race with me this Saturday... we had a yummy dinner with swimming (for them) and s'mores for dessert! It's so fun to have them here!

Todd's Birthday Dinner @ BJ's...

We had a super nice dinner at BJ's for dinner to celebrate Todd's 29th birthday! Dad took the picture and Luke didn't want to be in it, so here we are with Todd's root beer as we were about to leave! It was so fun to just be together and enjoy dinner tonight!

Fun Day @ Freestone Park in Gilbert!

We had fun celebrating Conner's 7th birthday out at Freestone Park in Gilbert today! Megan and Todd had Benji with them so he came along too. We had lunch and all the kids played at the park and fed the ducks. Then we had cake and sang to Conner. Then we went over to the rides and Robin paid for all the kids to ride each of them once and it was so much fun! The boys LOVED it!!! They were the perfect rides for all of them too! We rode with them on the carousel and the train that ran the perimeter of the park! We had fun waving to all the people we passed. (Logan was on Papa's lap.) Most of the kids left after that, but we all stayed and enjoyed another round of the rides because Robin had some tickets left. Dad bought all the kids popsicles... it was a very warm day for February! We enjoyed just sitting in the shade visiting while the kids finished their popsicles and then we headed back home... FUN DAY!!!
