Today's Cuteness!

7.28.2026

Abigail was getting ready for my birthday dinner out and was wondering if her bow was too big? Absolutely NOT!!! The bigger the better, but her mama decided that a smaller bow would be better. We had dinner at Mimi's Cafe with all the family and it was so nice! I didn't get any pics from our dinner but Megan took this one of Abby to show how big her cheeks are in her car seat, and the one of Logan in the bathroom getting his diaper changed... such a funny little guy. He was very active during dinner! Megan and Todd have 3 CUTE kids!!

Abigail is Home!!!

7.26.2026

Abigail came home on my birthday-- BEST birthday present EVER!!! We took the boys to church this morning and it worked out perfectly, because Ben and Brooke were giving Sacrament Meeting talks! We came home and the boys played for a bit until Megan and Todd got back from the hospital! The boys were so glad to have all of them home and enjoyed holding and interacting with the baby! And so did I!!! Bill left to go home and prepare my birthday dinner and everyone came over later for that. Everything was so yummy! I went back over to Megan and Todd's house to stay the night tired but happy!

Abigail is Here!!!

7.25.2026

Brooke and I were on-call all night as we slept waiting for the call... then Megan fell asleep and when she woke up, the nurse checked her and she was ready to go! We got the call about 15 minutes too late! We got news of her birth as we were driving and were only about 15 minutes away!! So we missed Abigail's entrance into this world after waiting and waiting for her arrival! Dad stayed home with the boys. She sure is a beautiful little girl and so fun to hold and snuggle! Brooke and I stayed until they got to their recovery room... and she and I went and got some breakfast on the way home at First Watch. It tasted sooooooo good! We were both so hungry! Later, I came with the boys to meet their new sister. We went to the store and got a beautiful bouquet of flowers with all pink blooms and I let the boys pick out the balloons-- Luke picked out a Marvel characters balloon for her! Haha! They were so sweet with her and Luke didn't want to stop holding her! Bill had already gotten there before me, so he was in the room when we arrived. We held the baby and stayed for a bit and then we took the boys to Chik-fil-A for dinner. We met up with Brooke and Ben and let the boys play first and then ordered our food. It has been such a wonderful day, but also so tiring! But we have a lot to be thankful for-- it is so fun to hold a newborn because they are so fresh from Heavenly Father! There is a sweetness, purity and innocence to them that makes the Spirit so strong in their presence! Here are Abigail's stats: 7 pounds 11 ounces 20" long and born at 6:10am at Thunderbird hospital in Glendale. She knew right away how to nurse and gained 2 ounces when she left the hospital! She's so sweet and gentle and hardly cries at all and when she does it is so soft and quiet! We love her and are smitten with her already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Waiting Game!

7.24.2026

The anticipation is killing us! Megan and Todd spent the entire day at the labor and delivery triage waiting to even get a bed there... her Dr. then admitted her to the hospital where they had to wait until 11pm to get a bed--so they never got a bed in triage and then had to wait for a bed in labor and delivery. Megan was desperate to have this baby! (Due date was 7/16!) I had the boys all day while they waited and Brooke and Ben and Dad came over later on to help with dinner and bedtime... Dad brough sandwiches from MR. Pickles. We got the boys to bed and then stayed up way too late. I should have gone to bed......
