I surprised Megan by sewing a blessing dress for Abigail… we had both looked and looked so hard to find the one I sewed for her baby blessing with absolutely no luck! (We had even both been praying to find it!) Then, Thursday evening as I was falling asleep, I was thinking that if I couldn’t find her dress, I could do the next best thing and just sew a new dress exactly like hers and I even still had the pattern I used! So, I got to work big time on Friday and Saturday sewing, sewing, sewing in order to have it ready by Sunday! Allison was a huge help—I’d forgotten how difficult the pattern was to read and it took both of us to figure it out! She helped me a lot and Saturday afternoon, when I’d finally finished the last step, I ironed it up and took it over to her house to surprise her with it… and she cried! When I first walked in, she thought I’d found her old dress and then I said, “No, this is blessing dress 2.0.” and then she just started to cry! The ONLY thing that was different about it was I put lace on the hem of Abigail’s dress. Megan’s dress was just a plain hem. I sure hope it turns up somewhere and it has been such a mystery as to where that dress went! It was crazy, but I’m so glad that I went ahead and did it—and Allison and I had fun doing it together! (Allison bought the sweet little bracelet for Abigail too!)
A Baby Blessing & Bibimbap for Abigail!
9.06.2026

Todd gave Abigail the sweetest blessing this morning! He blessed her with so many things, but the one that stuck out to me was the gift of Charity! I thought that was so sweet and I started to get emotional… Abigail already has such a sweet way about her—I’m excited to see that gift develop and grow in her! It was such a beautiful day. We went home right after taking pictures after their Sacrament Meeting and I made a HUGE yummy fruit salad with all sorts of things in it… then we headed back to Megan and Todd’s and helped them get all the food prepped for the luncheon. Todd made bibimbap bulgogi for lunch and Allison brought her amazing chocolate chip cookies and there were also Nothing Bundt Cakes cupcakes, as well. It was quite the spread with all the food! We visited with all the people who came and just rested and enjoyed ourselves afterward. Logan didn’t get a nap so he was even crazier than normal… hahaha!

Logan is into Toy Story right now and has to wear his cowboy hat when he watches it! Reminds me of Katie when she watched Finding Nemo...she had to have a bag of fishy crackers! Such a cute age!

Another Special Announcement...
8.22.2026

Katie and Kaden announced the coming of their first baby tonight over at Megan's house. We all gathered there to play games (Katie and Kaden are here for his brother's mission homecoming) and Katie walked in with a gift to open and in that gift were 3 of these little onesies... one for Abigail, Brooke's baby and Katie's baby-- which is due exactly 1 month after Brooke!!! (I'm going to be a very busy Grandma!) This will bring the total grandchild count to FIVE!!! We are super excited for Katie and Kaden although I was completely surprised and taken off guard because when we were up in Utah last week, Katie told me she was on her period! So I was NOT expecting this... I knew they wanted to start trying soon, but I didn't have any suspicions at all! She is due April 24th, which is 1 day after her scheduled BYU graduation! Wow... it will be interesting to see when this baby comes! I hope he or she let's momma graduate!!!

Abigail Does NOT Like Hats!
8.18.2026

This is the cutest little outfit, but apparently little Abigail does NOT like hats! Funny how they have preferences this young--she's not even 1 month old!
