Leaf Peepin' in New England Day 1-- Travel and Salem, Massachusetts

Today we embarked on our journey to New England on our sisters trip plus one-- the awesome Deanna Holdsworth!  We had to get up at 3am to fly out of Ontario airport at 5:30am... ugh!! (Allison and I had flown in the day before from Phoenix.)  We made it to Boston by 4pm and got our rental car. We headed for Salem and had a really nice dinner. We walked around the town and it is decorated for fall and Halloween everywhere!! So fun! It was COLD so we got a hot chocolate at Dunkin Donuts! We looked at the shops and walked around until 9pm for our History and Hauntings tour. We learned all about the history of Salem and the Salem Witch trials. It was mostly fact but our guide included some of the local stories about haunted buildings, etc. He was a really good guide and very knowledgeable about the area and history! After, we drove to Danvers, MA where we stayed in a hotel for just that night. We literally crashed on our beds as it was after midnight by the time we got there. (Our tour went to 11pm.) We also got to FaceTime Megan and sang happy birthday to her on the way to Salem. Sounds like she had a fun day!
