It has been a wonderful week!
I don't have a ton of updates this week but here are the highlights:
> On Saturday we made a 3 hour trip around town dropping off little notes to our friends and it was SO FUN! It was just so fun to be out and about and see Karen people!! And one of the girls we dropped one off to, her whole family came out to see us and we were like videoing and stuff! So funny! So much love for these people!
> Also as we were going about that trip at one point we were walking around a big housing area and this nice lady rolls down her car window and yells so loud, "YA'LL ARE SO PRETTY!" And then just kept driving and that just made us so happy! Some people are just so nice! And make this world a better place!
> Haha at one point this week we were driving with some other missionaries and I was getting a little car sick so I slept in the back and the next thing I know I wake up to panic because we are driving the wrong way down a one way street! Haha does life ever feel like that sometimes? Waking up on the wrong side of the street?! Well luckily we can always turn around and figure things out! (And get to laugh a little afterwards)
> We went to see one of our Karen friends this week and she wanted us to help her make cookies. (We still can't go inside so we just sat outside and kind of helped.) We made pumpkin cookies and stuff and then she brought out... CRICKETS! TO EAT! Haha if you don't think about it, they are actually kinda good! But DO NOT think about it hahahaha!! We got videos of us eating them and also pretending to catch and eat them lol! Our friend was laughing so hard! Haha good times!
> Ok kind of a cool story! I am currently working on the Christlike attribute, faith! Okay I think faith is so cool! But I also feel like I don't fully understand it or use it to its full capacity so I'm working on it! Okay but this week and for a little while now I have been having some vision issues (probably just from not going to the eye doctor for a year and a half) but like random days my vision would get kinda more blurry than usual but I was just planning on going to the eye doctor or something. Well anyway then yesterday, things were pretty blurry randomly again and I realized I could get a priesthood blessing! Why didn't I think of that before? Well anyway I got one, and in the blessing it said that my eyes would not be a problem for me to work and I don't think I really noticed a huge difference except that I felt like I knew that it was true and I just felt this peace like no other! Anyway then we went outside and I could see clearly! It was surprising but it was also so interesting because I didn't feel surprised.. It felt like something in me had already known and expected that that would happen. And I think that is a little piece of what faith is! Believing so hard that we almost know without actually knowing! And miracles do come! How cool is the priesthood?? So cool!
I hope we can all consciously and specifically create opportunities to grow our faith and see the miracles!
