We spent the day in Acadia National Park and did a guided driving tour of the area. It is SO GORGEOUS!! The leaves are all shades from yellow to rust to red to deep purple! They call people that come to see the leaves “leaf peepers”. (Actually leaf peepahs) So that’s exactly what we are!! We collected some of them to take home. Then we went to Northeast Harbor and got lunch at a food truck (YUMMY chicken wrap with avocados!) and then went on a harbor cruise. We saw so many things— seals, peregrine falcons—even 2 bald eagles just hanging out on a rock we passed --right by our boat! We docked at Little Cranberry Island and walked around for a bit and saw all the cute clapboard houses and small churches. (They farm cranberries in this area.) After that cruise was over, we drove some more through Acadia National Park and saw a few more things before we ended up in Bar Harbor, where we checked into our next hotel. We got our luggage brought up to the room and then headed to West Street Cafe for LOBSTER!! So we had LOBSTAH in BAH HAHBAH!! (That’s the way they talk here!) It’s so cute!! I love their accent! We had a beautiful view of the harbor in a window seat. It was a COLD night and due to Covid had to wait for our table outside!! Then when we got inside they had the windows opened a pretty good crack to circulate the air... once again due to Covid... so needless to say, we FROZE while we ate dinner! There is a really high paranoia here about the virus! Maybe because it’s so close to New York City? Idk!! The lobstah was so good though, it was worth it! We shared a piece of blueberry pie (they grow blueberries here too and the area is known for them) and a piece of chocolate cake. Hands down the better dessert was the blueberry pie!!! (And you know how I love chocolate!) It was a really good dinner! Then we went back to our hotel room and thawed out! Just about to go to bed now after a long day!

Leaf Peepin' in New England Day 3-- Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine (Lobstah in Bah Hahbah!!!)
10.11.2020

This morning we woke up to a beautiful view of the sunrise over the ocean just outside our door down a long grassy hill. It was beautiful! (We had no idea we had such a beautiful view as it was completely dark when we got in last night.) We left early again this morning at 7:30. I drove today...
