It was a fun afternoon with the youth in our ward and a few extras! Katelyn mastered surfing with no rope and no foot straps! Now she just has to master carving the wake and doing a 360!! (I'm not asking much...hahahaha! A 360 is hard!) She's a fast learner and athletic so I'm sure it won't take long to learn how to carve and move around more. All the youth on our boat tried to surf-- some learned and got up, but some didn't. Owen Baker was really good at it! He said it was his first time, but he looked like he'd done it before. He's a really athletic kid! They all loved tubing-- that's always fun because you don't need to know how to do it and they all love when Bill tries to get them off! I nicknamed Owen "Velcro" because he literally stuck to that tube and couch... we COULD NOT get him off! Fun day! Kids on our boat were Sammy Holmes, Makay Baker, Owen Baker, Abbie Baker, Amelia (nonmember friend of Makay's), Brynn Larsen (from Pleasant Valley ward), Katelyn and Bill and I.
