A Hard Day... But Some Great News!!

Todd texted me and sent me these pictures of Megan.  He said the surgery went really well and that she was recovering and happy to have it behind her.  She's a trooper!  All day I felt a sadness that just lingered and I also wished that as her mother I could've somehow taken it upon me and done this for her so that she wouldn't have to suffer so much!  But I knew I couldn't do that and that I was helpless and had to let her pass through this.  I was comforted to know that she had Todd by her side taking care of her.  I even thought about going up there to be with her, but things have just been so busy, I wasn't able to do that.  So I took great comfort in knowing that Todd is there-- and that's how it should be!  They will go through this together and be stronger for it! 

Later on today I got a text from Todd telling all of us that he got accepted into his dream Business Strategy program at BYU!  I'm so excited for him but not surprised!  I knew that he'd get in!  So that was a nice piece of happy news on a day that was kind of somber.  It was a tender mercy from the Lord... and I've definitely felt the huge love that Heavenly Father has for Megan this past week, and especially while I fasted for her!  She is one of His most special daughters!
