Hey family & friends!
Wow I feel like the weeks just keep going faster & faster!
Highlights from the week:
>Dah Wah taught us a bomb restoration lesson! He's so good! "And then Jesus came down with His Dad to Joseph Smith..." Heck yeah He did! Couldn't have said it better myself :)
>We had a lesson with one of our friends this week that was amazing & so guided by the Spirit! Normally at the beginning of lessons we don't do much small talk because it's hard to understand but for some reason this lesson I felt prompted to ask her questions & really just talk a bit beforehand & we talked about SO MUCH & I could understand! At one point she started talking about her life before coming to America & what it was like in the refugee camps & it was all so fascinating & I felt prompted to ask her about what it was like before the camps & she talked about how they had to run for their lives when she was younger to escape Burma & she told her story. It was amazing! But get this, then the next story lined up for us to read that day was the story of Alma's people when they escaped the Lamanites! And because we were talking about all of that beforehand, she really connected with the story and APPLIED it to her life & it was WAY cool because so many things from her life's story perfectly lined up with the events in that story! It was amazing & she bore a powerful testimony of Gods loving guidance!
> Sister Marshall from my MTC group is in my zone! :) They live just across the street from us & now we are running buddies in the morning! We are working up to 6 miles! And starting a no sugar thing haha! Wish us (me) luck! We got up to 1.5 miles this week & we were already dying but I think we can do it! Also I just love Sister Marshall so flipping much! We had interviews this week & we just got to talk & she is an amazing human being! Love her :)
>We had a lesson with Dah Wah & Ta Bleh & the Elders the other day & oh my goodness it was so funny! (& good & spiritual but some funny things happened throughout.)
- Sister Norton: "Hey is your refrigerator running?"
Da Bleh: "Yeah, yesterday it did"
Da Wah: "Wait, where did it go??"
-All at the same time...
Dah Wah: "You know I didn't eat food this morning when I woke up"
Da Bleh: "I need a job bro"
Sister Freeman: "Elders will one of you say the prayer?"
Elder Lundstrom: "I can't hear you"
It was hecka funny but it was a really good lesson & Dah Wah got to ask the Elders his questions & learn more about the Priesthood!
> Earlier this week we kept seeing this lady outside our apartment & said hi & stuff & she seemed really nice & she seemed to recognize something different about us. Then one day she needed help bringing her groceries up to her apartment so we helped her bring them up & found out that she is new to the apartment & that's why we hadn't seen her around before! Anyway she is super open every time we talk to her & will just tell us all about her life! She reminds me of TRCs at the MTC. She's just so open & easy to teach but anyway one day we told her we were missionaries & she said "Oh! So if I ever need someone to talk to I can talk to you guys!" And we said YEP! Haha she is awesome & we will keep being her friend & helping with whatever she needs & maybe one day be able to teach her about the joys of the gospel! :)
>Mae Paw finished school this week! Man she had some hard classes but the weird thing is, it made me miss school? Haha I think Mae Paw just makes doing homework fun even when it's hard & I think I'll have to try that when I go back! I've learned a lot of random things about global economy & whatever geography class it was lol!
> We had several lessons this week that kind of randomly led to us talking specifically about our modern prophet, President Nelson, & it was so amazing to testify of his importance & how grateful we are that God still speaks through a prophet today & that His church is still set up the same way today!
> I translated for Sacrament for the first time this Sunday!! Man I was so nervous/excited & it was so fun! Yes there were definitely some random things that I had no idea how to say but I definitely felt the Holy Ghost bringing things to my remembrance & helping me! I felt really calm :)
> Just a random blurb here to say I LOVE OUR MEMBERS! Wow members are powerful & it is so fun to work with them on projects & see them at church now! Oh how I've missed them :)
OK just wanted to end with some food for thought! I randomly studied some talks this week that were all about words & how powerful they are! Literally everything we say carries power to lift or bring down. Even weird things like our choice of words has an effect like saying, "Wow you're so dope" sounds cool & stuff but saying something like "You really have a talent for blank and I really admire that" has a lot more meaning & meat & power to lift! A lot of the talks I listened to were about refining our language & not just using the random filler words that have become so common these days! It was pretty interesting & got me really thinking about what I say (& don't say) everyday & I think I could be better! I think we could all take a little more care with how we use words & use them to lift! "Christ is the Word" & we should use good words in our lives to bring Him into our interactions & conversations more :) Kinda random but there it is...
I love you all & I know that God loves you & has a plan for you! I attached a picture of Jesus that we shared with a member & it really touched her. It shows how God has so much more in store for each of us than we can even imagine! "Trust Him & He will direct thy paths" & lead you to those wonderful plans that He has in store! Have a great week!
Love, Sister Freeman ဖီပြံဝါ
