OK this week was amazing because we got to hear so many of our friends bear testimony & it was so good!
We had several bomb lessons with Dah Wah this week! Man he is already such a missionary & he isn't even a member! He invited one of his friends to one of our lessons and the whole time he was just bearing testimony and asking questions and making invitations it was so sweet! Wow I am impressed every time we get to talk to that kid!
We had a lesson with one of the members this week named Ta Bleh and he taught us! It was amazing! It is so fun to watch these people grow and progress!
Yesterday we had a lesson with Dah Wah & Ta Bleh and somehow we got on the topic of the Priesthood. It was really cool to ask Ta Bleh what it's like to have the Priesthood and hear his testimony and it was cool to show Dah Wah that he can do that too! It was a wonderful lesson!
We had an amazing lesson with a member this week who I have grown to love so so so much more than I thought possible and she is going through a lot right now and it just broke my little heart because I didn't know what I could even say or do to help but I just bore testimony of God's love and vision for her and I FELT it! She was feeling like God was punishing her for her wrongs but I felt so strongly that God loved her and Satan fed her that lie because that's what he does! He tears down and breaks up and destroys. Not God. Nope because God LOVES and FORGIVES and it was a beautiful thing to testify of that to her. Then we got to bring the glad Tidings of Great Joy that church was starting up again this week and SHE WAS SO HAPPY! Wow complete reverse from how the lesson started! Boy oh boy do I love this work! By the end of our lesson she was bearing testimony of God's blessings and remembered His love for her in the past! It was amazing. On Sunday she came to church and her little boy can be quite rambunctious and at first.. he was haha! He ran for the stage but then a miracle happened! He came when we called him down! That never happens! And the rest of the meeting he was quiet! That never happens! Our small little prayer to God to help our friend worked! It was wonderful!
Our first week back at church was amazing! Very different but just so good! And a lot of our Karen friends came too and got their own rides! Dah Wah and Karen Moo came! There was a special spirit in the room as we sat there all social distanced and quiet! There is something so nice about being all together and united! Even if we can't hug and interact like we used to!
For the 4th of July, we got together as a zone and had a barbecue and played kickball and tennis and kicked a soccer ball around and lit sparklers and it was so fun! Apparently fireworks are a big deal here because they were going off EVERYWHERE! All night! Haha! Literally every street had their own little fireworks shows going on! As we were driving home from our barbecue we just saw fireworks in all directions! Gotta love America! In all seriousness though I am grateful to live here and to be free! God bless the USA :)
This week we got to meet the Richardsons, our new Mission President and his wife and they are awesome! They are so kind and loving with a fire for the work and I think great things are going to happen in the MMM!
Just a story that got us fired up from this week. On their second day here we had MLC and they talked about SO many awesome things but one part of MLC was really cool! So normally at MLC we will set goals and stuff for the mission and it came to that time to set a number for baptisms and normally everyone starts debating and fighting and stuff about what our goals should be but President Richardson opened up the floor for people to talk and they did for a bit and then he released us for lunch and told us to all pray as companionships. So we come back from the lunch break and he gives some inspiring words and then asks everyone what the goal should be and everyone one by one says 11, 11, 11 --every single one! That has never happened in any of the mtgs. I've been to! A unanimous goal! Oh that got us so stoked along with a lot of other things they said too but I think some awesome things are gonna happen as we work hard and work together!
I just wanted to finish with a poem I read in my studies this week!
You don’t have to tell how you live each day;
You don’t have to tell if you work or play;
A tried and true barometer stands in its place—
You don’t have to tell, it will show in your face. …
If you live close to God and His infinite grace—
You won’t have to tell, it will show in your face.
As we learn more about Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ and come closer to God, it shows! This work and gospel isn't about just doing things to do them. It's about growing and BECOMING!
I hope you all have the best week! I hope you know your worth! I hope you feel the love and light that this gospel brings today and every day! I love you!
Love, Sister Freeman ဖီပြံဝါ
