Today we met at Megan and Todd's house at noon and went to Splash Summit (formerly known as Seven Peaks... new owners). They’ve updated a lot of things, and it’s nicer but all the rides are the same. I made crock pot saucy chicken before we left so when we got home we just chopped a salad and cooked the rice! It tasted so good after a long day in the sun! We had so much fun at the water park though!! There weren't that many people there and we went on all the rides without a lot of waiting. We stayed 'til closing at 8pm... we had a lot of fun together and laughed lots!
After dinner Becky and Nash Rasmussen came over to drop off his bike. He’s doing in home MTC right now and will report to the Tempe, AZ mission on August 11th. We’re taking his bike down so they don’t have to pay to ship it. Apparently it’s an all bike mission and he will use it most of his time there! He looks so good and is so excited to be on his mission! He’s so prepared and ready!! It was fun to visit with them! They moved back to Utah and live in South Jordan now— close to Amber and Chris. After they left (Nash had to get home before curfew!) we watched a movie called Yesterday— about the world without the Beatles! It was pretty good! Another late night! Again!!!!

Katelyn's Seminary Class-- Senior Year!
7.30.2020
Katelyn's Seminary teacher, Sister Sharon West emailed me this picture roster of Katelyn's Seminary class this coming year. I'm so excited for Katelyn to have her as a teacher. She is so sweet and you can tell she really loves the kids! (She even delivered a plate of frosted sugar cookies to our house, but we are up in Utah!) I looks like Katelyn is going to have an awesome class! Even though it will start online, I know that Katelyn will have really neat experiences in Seminary this year!
Prom Dress Shopping and a BBQ Dinner Up the Canyon!
7.28.2020
Katelyn and I went Prom dress shopping today... we had to leave everything on hold because we had to hurry to her appt. with Megan to have her teeth cleaned and examined. After that she finished trying on her dresses and found a really pretty blush pink one. It’s so pretty! (It's the second to last dress pictured below.) I realized that this was the last time I will go Prom dress shopping with one of my daughters! I have enjoyed it with all 4 of them! While she was at her appt., I went grocery shopping and went to Megan’s to drop off the food and I cleaned up her kitchen and did all the dishes. About the time I finished all that it was time to go get Katelyn from Megan's school.
After we finished dress shopping back at the store and Megan got back from school, we went up Provo canyon to Glen Canyon park and roasted hot dogs (so good!) and had a yummy watermelon. We roasted s’mores for dessert and Katelyn and Todd hit around a soccer ball. It ended up in the river and both Katelyn and Todd got wet getting it... but Katelyn got drenched— she was completely soaked. Todd just got his feet wet. The water was cold and the sun was going down. I bet Katelyn was pretty cold! After, we went to our hotel and soaked in the hot tub and got in the pool but it was too cold. Dad flipped Katelyn a couple of times, though... We went back to Megan and Todd’s and watched a cute heist movie called Logan Lucky. Another really late night! I feel like I'm saying that a lot!
We take advantage of every moment with Megan and Todd and because of their school/work schedules-- it means that the party can't start until 5:30 on weeknights when Megan gets home from school and noon on Fridays and Saturdays, when they both get off work. We are having the time of our lives though. It's been totally worth it!
