Hello!
This week we've seen many mini miracles & have found so much joy!
So, with the new General Conference coming up & President Nelson's focus on Joseph Smith's First Vision, that has really been on our minds a lot! So this week we've been teaching a lot about it to both members & non members & it has been amazing! We have been watching the "Ask of God" video (SO GOOD) & then relating the video to each person! In one of these lessons I don't remember exactly what we said but the person really felt touched & really felt like God was answering her prayers! That was a really tender moment! The message of Joseph Smith's First Vision is powerful! And it is true!
This week, we have also been able to hear many of the member's testimonies! Man, testimonies are powerful! And our testimonies can sometimes be exactly what someone needs to hear! The Karen people have really unique testimonies of the gospel & it is powerful to hear them bear those witnesses of Joseph Smith or God's Plan of Salvation or Tithing or Church Organization & so many other things! I have teared up multiple times this week just listening to them bear their humble but powerful testimony! I am really grateful for the opportunities to hear them bear testimony because it strengthens me! I challenge everyone to find ways to share that testimony! I promise you won't regret it & it will have a bigger impact than you even realize!
This Sunday we got A LOT of snow! It was really crazy! Our mission president sent a text out to be careful and stay in if it didn't seem safe. That morning we weren't really feeling super good & weren't sure if we should try to go to church with all the snow & stuff. We went out & scraped off our car which took a long time & I kind of said a little prayer in my heart like "Heavenly Father, if you want us to go to church please help us not get stuck trying to go." Now let me tell you our car ALWAYS gets stuck even when it snows a little! But this time it backed right up & we went to church! And I am so grateful we did! It was a really good meeting! It was definitely still snowing a lot & when we came out after church we were expecting to have to scrape our car all over again but there wasn't any snow on it!! Such a tender mercy! I know God will bless us as we make sacrifices to come closer to Him & we may even be surprised at how much He blessed us & in unique ways!
I KNOW this church is true. I KNOW Jesus Christ is leading & guiding our prophet, Russell M. Nelson. I KNOW Joseph Smith was a Prophet called of God & that he really did see Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ & that They really did speak to him & call him to restore Christ's church & God's power on the earth! I Know these things are true! Whatever you do, before you discredit any of it. Study it. Sincerely open your heart for God to teach you & I promise He will confirm the truth to you! I bear that testimony & it's not an easy testimony to bear these days but I promise you will be blessed as you stay true to that testimony despite all those who will try to tear it down! This gospel has blessed my life in more ways than I can count & I am witnessing how it is changing people's lives as they learn about it & apply it to their lives! It's truly amazing!
I love you all! Have a great week!
