Lots of Love (Brooke's Letter)

2.17.2020

Hello family & friends!

We've had some of our coldest days this week but good thing we've got the Light of Christ warming up our souls & cheering up our spirits! It's been a good week!
On Wednesday we had Zone Conference & it was all about the Restoration & President Nelson's challenge for this upcoming conference! It was awesome! As Sister Training Leaders, we gave a training with the Zone Leaders about teaching the Restoration & that was a lot of fun to prepare for & talk about! The Restoration is so powerful & it was really neat to hear so many missionaries bearing their witnesses!

We've had some really awesome lessons this week!
We had a lesson about the Tree of Life & then after we talked about it, the girls just started recreating it with objects in the room! It was pretty cool! And they were holding on to the iron rod! (broomstick haha) I got a picture of that for the memories! That was a really fun lesson!
We got to go to the temple & have a lesson there & feel the spirit & love there! That was really awesome! I love the temple!
We also got to go to a couple Bahywahs this week! I really love the Karen culture & that they choose to spend birthday celebrations worshiping God & gathering together with friends & family!

Valentines day was this week! It didn't feel very different from any other day but it was fun to celebrate love & feel God's love for all of His children!

A lot of our friends have hit some rough patches this week & we could use some prayers from friends & family back home! It is so sad to me to see people making good choices & trying their hardest but just keep getting another curve ball thrown at them! I know that this church & this gospel can change lives & we are seeing it change lives! We may not be able to see all the "blessings in store" but I know that God will make everything anyone goes through in life worth it if they will just endure & press forward! Stay true stay strong! I know that all my joy & all my happiness come from this gospel & I am so grateful to be able to share it with these people! I really love being a missionary & love the people here like my own family! And really, we are all family! And that makes me so happy! I love you all & pray that you can overcome challenges that come your way! Thank you for your prayers & support! Have a great week!

Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
