Greece Day 9-- Mykonos & Delos

We started the day by roaming the narrow shop filled streets and really got turned around and had to back track our way back to the dock! It was fun though and we enjoyed the morning shopping and getting a gelato! They have a lot of windmills on this island as well. Later on after lunch on the boat, our group met up and we took a ferry over to the island of Delos, the sacred island in ancient times said to have been the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. The archaeological site was FULL of things to see and many homes of wealthy people that were still in such good condition for how old they are! We ferried back to Mykonos where we caught our tender back to the ship... it was a rough ride and my whole right side was drenched! It was completely dark by the time we got to the ship but we saw an amazing sunset on Delos!
