The water was ROUGH today and I began to feel sicker and sicker. The ship was rocking so much-- like you literally had to hold on whether you were sitting, standing or trying to go somewhere. I felt sicker than I ever have before with motion sickness. Carole-- one of the women in my group saw me sitting in the piano bar looking green and like I was about to cry. She offered me a bonine tablet and I quickly accepted. Bill tried to get me to drink ginger tea but it was HORRIBLE tasting and some crackers and an apple-- which did taste good, but I was so sick I could hardly eat it. The tablet helped and she said it would last 12 hours. It knocked me out and I really don't remember much more of this day! I fell asleep exactly where I was and several people from our group walked by and said they saw me sacked out on that couch! I finally went down to our room and slept for the rest of the day! Mark Rogers, another person in our group had an extra patch he wasn't going to use, so he gave it to me and it helped so much too! I was seriously thinking I was literally going to die on that ship! And I worried that it was a SEVEN DAY cruise!!! How was I going to make it for seven days??? Luckily after today, the seas calmed down quite a bit, and the medicine kicked in and I was fine for the rest of the week. How terrible that the one day we were on the boat the entire day-- it had to be so rocky and rough! We had nowhere to go!!! Ugh!! Luckily I never threw up, but I was sick! Allison got sick also but she threw up. I guess I was lucky! There was only 2 other guys in our group that got sick-- one was really bad and throwing up all day, and the other one was like me where he just got really nauseated and sick. Tonight there was a red moon, which apparently only happens in the southern hemisphere. I was glad I was feeling well enough to go outside and see it! I felt so much better around dinner time. I'm not sure if it was because all that medicine was working, or if it was because the sea calmed down, but I was just so glad to be feeling better! Carole and Mark literally saved me today!
