Today was the last official day of the reunion up in the Blue Mountains. (We will break camp and leave tomorrow morning.) Our family and Amber and Chris went to Mesa Verde for the day! It was really interesting! Then we spent the rest of the evening with Deric at his home after we went for Mexican food on the Fourth of July!! Hahaha!! (No hamburgers and hotdogs this year!) Deric showed us around his farm, home and property and enjoyed having us visit. We decided to ditch the fireworks tonight and just head back to camp because all the little kids were tired from a hot day with a lot of walking and hiking. (Luke was tired too!) We did get to see a BEAR today though!! Todd was going to the bathroom off the side of the road in Mesa Verde and he came running to us (after he was finished, of course!) yelling that there was a bear. No one believed him, until Brooke got out of the car to go see and sure enough... a BEAR!! We all believed her when she reported that Todd was telling the truth. It was so cool to stand there and watch him for a while!! I love watching bears-- from a safe distance of course!! We all also really enjoyed poking around the ruins of an ancient civilization-- fun to ponder how they lived and survived!!
