Unite Fitness Retreat in Salt Lake City-- Day 1

Bill and I arrived in Salt Lake early this afternoon and settled into our hotel-- the Marriott Courtyard, which is right across the street from the Vivint arena where the Jazz play!  Cool!  After we got settled, we went on a walk up to Temple Square and got these pictures on our way.  The air quality is really bad right now in Utah due to some wildfires burning to the south and also blowing in from CA.  I think that's why I had a headache for the first few days... until it cleared out due to a storm and really high winds on Tuesday.  You can kind of see the haze in these pictures.  Temple Square is just right across the street from the City Creek Mall, which is where we will be going to the Gym every day during our stay here.  It's about a mile away and takes about 15 minutes to walk.  Not too bad!  It is going to be an exciting week evaluating our health and working our tails off to kick start some great habits with exercise and learning about nutrition and good eating habits.  Every day all 3 of our meals will be cooked for us with our specific health needs in mind, and we will also have 2 snacks a day  and a protein shake every morning before we start our 8-10 hours of exercise.  (Yes, that is per DAY!)  We are excited to start this journey that we will continue for long after it's over.  Bill is staying for 2 weeks, but I am just staying for one.  Let's DO THIS!!!
