Well it was quite a life changing week for me! I hope it was and is for Bill, too! I have a lot of fears about being able to keep implementing all that I learned! I know I can't exercise for 7-10 hours a day! I guess just take it one thing and one day at a time. I have to pick the things that are the most important for me and do those things. I was pushed physically (and my mental stamina as well) like I never thought I could be! I learned so much about my own physical challenges and weaknesses and how to work to turn those weaknesses into strengths. I also learned SO MUCH about health and nutrition and also mindfulness! There was SO MUCH INFORMATION!!! What an education I received! Working with trainers, a dietician and a chef to figure out EVERYTHING I need to be healthy was such a blessing! I feel information overload right now! Hahaha! But that's good! There is so much more to mention, but this would be a book if I typed everything we did!!! I'm happy to be home and in my own bed though... sweet dreams!!
Unite Fitness Retreat-- Day 7
9.12.2020

It was a gorgeous day today! Saturdays at Unite are a little bit more relaxing and fun. We ate breakfast at the Unite room at the hotel and then left for Park City in two vans. We did a really nice hike on Rob's Trail-- I did 2 miles up and 2 miles down-- it was pretty steep going up, but it felt nice. It was chillier-- just enough to keep cool and not sweat. It was gorgeous and since we are higher up in elevation in Park City, many trees were already donning their fall colors! Just beautiful!! I love being outside... that's what's hard about living in Arizona in the summer time. It's just too hot to hike or be out in nature at any time of day. We at lunch at a "clean" restaurant. The food was really good but so filling! I couldn't eat all my veggies! I did eat all my meat, though. Bill had the same problem. We spent the rest of the afternoon walking up and down a cute little main street with all sorts of shops. Bill and I found a Lululemon store. (I'd wanted to go to one in Salt Lake @ the City Creek Mall, but never had time to stop in.) We found some really cute stuff for me and also some Christmas presents, as well. We had fun poking around in other shops-- had to either go up the hill or down the hill though... those trainers are always thinking about how to make you work-- even when you're SHOPPING!! We joked with Trish about that and she got a huge smile on her face. She knows!! On the way back, I had Trish drop me off at the City Creek Mall because I needed a color of leggings that the Lululemon in Park City didn't have. (Bill was too tired to go with me.) I had to wait in a line that took 15 minutes (because of Covid) and that was REALLY annoying! Park City did not have a line. But I finally got in and found the said leggings and I was off the to the hotel. Took me about 10 minutes walking briskly. I got home and showered and finished packing. Before dinner Bill and I gave a 10 minute testimonial on camera for Unite. That was kinda weird... I don't like to be on camera! After that, I had my last dinner at Unite-- Yvonne was cooking and it was ANOTHER AMAZING meal! I told her how much I loved her cooking and seasoning as I left for the airport. She gave me my yogurt parfait for tomorrow's breakfast-- I think she didn't realize that I was leaving when she made it for me. I asked her if I could get it through security and she said "SURE!!" I didn't think I could, so instead of having to throw it away, I took some time after I checked in to sit down and enjoy my last treat from Yvonne! And boy was it good! I couldn't bare to throw it in the trash! I didn't even feel too full after eating it. (I will skip breakfast tomorrow-- hahaha!!) I got in to Phoenix at about 10:30 and was HOME by 11:35! Katelyn was at the door to greet me when I drove up! She was sweet to help me lug all my stuff up the stairs.
