Lights in the Master Bath!
5.30.2023
I went up to the house this afternoon to check on some things and looked up and saw these!! Yay!! It seems like things are STILL going so slowly, but at least there is some evidence that workers have been here! Things are coming together slowly and now that the bulk of the stress is over with our wonderful double move (said very sarcastically!), I can concentrate more on what's going on at the house instead of PACKING-- which has been my entire life for way too long!!!
This Morning's Entertainment!
We are officially bunking with Megan and Todd! We had a crazy day yesterday packing up the house and moving things to trailers, the garage and still inside the house in the dining room area! We don't have our storage that we were counting on, but all is well and we made it to this point! (Bill stayed at the house last night to make sure our stuff was safe outside on the 2 trailers we have loaded up and just sitting in the driveway!)
So I got up this morning to head over to the old house to clean and I had my cleaning ladies there to help as well. We got everything deep cleaned in 3 hours! Megan worked all day today, so Todd was on Luke duty. He loves his yogurt and got it all over her jib and smiled so cute at me, I had to get a picture! This guy is the cutest little boy to ever exist!! I love him so much!! It will be fun to stay here with them and enjoy all the cute things he does first hand!
Face Christ Through Your Fears! (Katelyn's Letter)

HEY Y'ALLL!
Super busy week as ALWAYS (sorry if these are too long heehee) but here's a glimpse!
Seeds of Faith
Super busy week as ALWAYS (sorry if these are too long heehee) but here's a glimpse!
Seeds of Faith
In Neal A. Maxwell's talk, “Lest Ye Be Wearied and Faint in Your Minds” he says:
Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, “Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! Then let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!”
We cannot become all God needs us to without the oppositions we face. So face them looking towards Christ who faced them ALL!
Gratitude
-My mission has been a garden of roses but it would not be as beautiful or meaningful without every single thorn!
-Gallman FRAMED his baptism program and my letter to him for his baptism:,) Makes me so happy that he sees and remembers the importance of that day to put it up for others to see!
-Super fun pday camping/hamicking with the district (definitely did not play cup pong and poker as missionaries ahem) and I faced my fears and took the dare to go inside a sketchy tree aha so scary!
-Met some AMAZING people and I'm so grateful for the deep and uplifting conversations we get to have everyday!
-WENT ON AN EXCHANGE WITH THE SLAYING QUEEN HERSELF... Risky and I caught up on everything from our greenie days--literally love her with my whole heart! We talked for a LONG time and she is just so so strong and loving and relatable for everyone! Go get yourself a Sista Risky y'all!
-Played charades for a lesson with the McElroys. They are SO FUN! It was a party and a half!!
-We've had critters hanging out on our car LITERALLY EVERYDAY this week. Mostly spiders but ONE day it was a lizard just hanging out as we were driving bahah!
-JOHNNY AND KAYE GOT BAPTISED THIS WEEK AHHHH!!! So so happy! There were so so so many miracles along the way and they have come so far in every aspect of their lives! God is just so good. Johnny was even able to walk into the font (his legs are mostly numb y'all--he's basically paralyzed) and face all his fears as he trusted Brother Martin to push him down and lift him back up out of the water and basically carry him back to the changing rooms. God's spirit and strength was so strong! It was miraculous to watch both Johnny and Kaye make this step closer to God with everything they have faced.
-But that's not all folks 'cuz WILLIE GOT BAPTIZED TOOOOOOOO. HOLY MOLY if I could just tell y'all how good and hardworking and kind this guy is it would still fail to express the faith and trust that Willie has in Jesus Christ to help him through everything he faces. He has been battling smoking for so so long but his baptism proves that Christ overcame all. After it he said he just feels pure and peaceful. So so great! I look up to him so much!!

- I can't express how much the people here mean to me. I have learned so much through their wise and charitable examples! They have taught me more lessons than I could ever teach them as a missionary-- FOR REAL!
-GOT TO GO SEE SISTER HARRIS TODAY (now Katie haha) and y'all it was SO amazing! I missed her so much. She just glows... but it also made me realize how surreal going back home will be when the day comes. I just wanna embrace every single moment here ahhh! Also surprised my BESTIE MISSION MOM Sister TOMMY when we FaceTimed her. IT WAS SO FUN! I love her with everything!!
Don't forget how much I love y'all!!! Go face your fears this week. They are there for a reason!

Appliances!!! (And other things...)
5.25.2023
So this was a happy thing that happened today! We got all of our appliances installed and even better, they are now OUT of our garage!! Now we have room to put things in the garage as we pack up our own house... it's starting to get REAL and very, very CRAZY!!!! (Note: The stove on the Kitchenette appliances was installed to the wall, but the painters had to move it to paint the baseboard!) We also have finished stairs that look amazing and all the carpet carpet was installed. (We are still waiting for the rubberized flooring in the gym--they didn't bring all the boxes of it, so there wasn't enough to install the whole thing, so they didn't do it.) Progress...
Throwback to August 2012!
5.24.2023
Kristen Maskovich texted me these pictures today from when she played indoor soccer with Drew Maskovich and Jesse Grover! So fun to remember back-- these were the good 'ol days!!
Carpet, Beams, More Toilets, Light Fixtures, Garage Floor Coating-- BIG DAY!
A lot of subs were @ the house working hard today! The carpet guys came, but they still have to finish, the beams look AMAZING and SOOOOO much better, the plumber came because another toilet was installed in the powder bath and the faucet too (not shown--forgot to take a picture of it), some light fixtures got put up, but there are still several more so the electricians had to cap them off for inspection tomorrow. The hardest to cap off was the chandelier above the stairs because it requires a very high ladder and is very hard to get to... I'm really disliking Candice more and more!! It's crazy that we STILL don't have all our lighting! (Promised on April 20th!!!) The garage floor looks AMAZING! The A/C was all hooked up and running and it's feeling more and more like a home and not a construction site!! That felt good!!
