Another week down--what the BOJANGLES?! Every week is a roller coaster with low lows and the highest highs...it's crazy. One member at church said that all you can do on the big drops is raise your hands and go weeeeee!!! So that's what I'm doing! Now if anyone reading this is thinking about serving a mission DO IT. It's SO hard and some days I don't know how I'm gonna make it to 18 months even though this transfer has been an absolute blast, but I've grown and gained a better outlook on life in ways I could NEVER have without serving!:)
Seeds of Faith
This week I was getting kind of discouraged because we haven't been able to find people that are receptive to hearing more about the gospel here. We've had a lot of in your face rejection. So we have focused more on members and how we can help in that way and we have seen a lot of good come from that! But I was still hoping and praying that we would be able to find and teach someone because I miss seeing the change that comes over people when they recognize their divine worth and potential! And guess what?! My prayers were answered!!! On exchanges Sister West found this cute family from Haiti who want their kids to learn more about God, so I met them on Sunday and the Spirit was so strong and good in their home and their kids are the best! And guess what?! A member family also brought ANOTHER GUY named Andrew to church and he loved it and can't wait to meet with us and come to church again!!! It is so awesome. Miracles happen y'all! All the doors closed in our faces and peeks through the blinds then not answering and creepy people and awkward phone calls and just when you didn't think there were any other forms of rejection then being told to go away through a fancy Ring DOORBELL speaker... all these have taught me a lot about God's timing for things and not letting the agency of others affect me and how I see myself! It's still hard but God really does give us what we need when we need it, we just need to depend on Him and the blessings will come!

If you are on one of those big roller coaster drops in your life make sure to raise your hands up and go WEEEEE. Remember the lows help us recognize and build up to the highs! Keep praying, keep hoping and when life yells at you through a doorbell you can laugh at it with those who love and care for you! So do something fun with someone else this week that you weren't planning on seeing and I promise it will better your perspective on life's big roller coaster!:)
Fun Things
-Went on exchanges with Sister Riska and Sister Jones and Sister Riska left the FUNNIEST voice messages.
-I caught a frog to scare Westy and it ended up peeing on me--karma is NASTY!
-At a meal Westy found a bunch of CAT HAIR in her food and I didn't notice because I was so hungry and ate the WHOLE THING. After, the Holmes (the senior couple) made us waffles though so that was really fun.
-Before our exchange with Sister Jones, Sister Peterson and Sister Riska, we went and got Krispy Creme where I ate 2 donuts. THEN the next morning we go to their ward seminary and guess what they served?! Krispy Creme!!! So I ended up having 4 donuts in 12 hours... what a time!
Gratitude
-GUITAR! I was on exchanges and got to play the guitar for the first time on my mission. I missed it so much! What a tender mercy.
-So I always make fun of Westy for all of her Stanley water bottles and then these awesome members the Thomas' literally give me one --how kind and epic is that?! Unfortunately I can't make fun of Westy anymore though but I'm hooked haha.
-FALL SMELLS
-Kiddos and everything they teach us about trusting and relying on God! Plus they always make church more interesting;)
-Cars so we don't have to walk in to people's houses soaking wet from the rain hahaha (sorry biking elders.)
-McAlister's Deli!!!! I had a FIRE SANDWICH there. 10/10 recommend getting the French dip sandwich with the berry salad (and not having cat hair in it was a plus).
-Missionary work with church members and all that they do for us missionaries. We really couldn't do it without them!
