I'M LEAVING FOR SOUTH CAROLINA TOMORROW!!! It's crazy but I'm so excited to start helping and serving the people there! I'm definitely gonna miss my district they are the best!
Seeds of Faith
"Faint yet pursuing": Kyle S. McKay came and spoke to us last Tuesday and his talk was SO GOOD. He related the story of the Israelites' battle with the Midianites in Judges 6-8 to service and the work missionaries do! Here's some things he said that were super helpful for me!:
1: The battle belongs to the Lord: This is His work, His war, His win!
2: You are not alone! You never have been, you never will be!
3: If you are prepared and obedient, you will have no spiritual casualties!
Judges 6:13-16
13. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
14. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
15. And he (Gideon) said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.
16. And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee (*drop the mic*)
We all feel inadequate and small as Gideon did but GUYS! God has sent us to this earth at this time for a reason! He is with every one of us so we do not need to fear!
*Invitation* When it came to fighting the Midianites, God told the Israelites to sheath their swords and follow His directions which included blowing horns and breaking pitchers.
What swords do you need to sheath to listen more exactly to the Lord? What does He want you to do in order to win the wars in your life? Sometimes what He asks literally makes no sense but I invite you to ponder this week and put away those swords that seem like the best solution to you but aren't what God has planned! When you blow God's horn (and not your own) He will aid you in scaring away and defeating those adversaries in your life!
Funny Things
BEST JOKE I'VE HEARD SO FAR *warning: very punny* Did you know Moses was the first one to go through the MTC (Missionary Training Center)? Yeah, when he parted the Red Sea he walked through the *Empty Sea*/MTC!! Hahahaha
Sister Bailey used acne cream for toothpaste on accident one night so that was entertaining.
We all did our true laughs haha I got some pretty good videos of everyone.
My district and I had an argument on what armadillos looked like the other day which was quite interesting and inconclusive so if anyone reading this has a picture of one PLEASE send it! Some of our district may see them where they are going! I'm not sure if I'll find any in SC but that would be epic!
Gratitude
-Huckleberry creamies: SO GOOD
-Memorabilia: I'm so glad I have things I can hold onto from family and friends like pictures and jewelry! I've been holding onto those real tight and they remind me about my goals and to remember to try to love the people I meet as much as I love y'all!

-JOSEPH SMITH "Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah!" (Hymn 27 in our hymn book go read it!)
-Faith and Miracles!!!!!! We had a devotional this week on how miracles come AFTER we have faith (which requires action and change). Well many of you know my grandma passed away this year and I wear a lot of her old jewelry to remember her. We had been playing at the field doing kickball and other things. Then we came back and talked in one of the buildings when I realized one of her earnings was missing!! I was freaking out haha but one of the Elders said we should say a prayer (I've done this before because I am a very forgetful person and nothing huge really happened probably because my faith was not for the right reasons). So I said a prayer desperately asking God to find this earing that helps me feel more connected to my Grandma who I feel is serving a mission alongside me in heaven. No joke like 30 sec after, I FOUND IT on the ground behind a wall where I would have never looked and I was like NO WAY. It could have been anywhere! We were very active all over the place that day doing stuff but it fell out/appeared in the room where we were just sitting and talking. How crazy is that! I'm so grateful for that small and simple miracle that taught me how faith truly does work wonders!
