"Shading" the Plumbing and Grading the Pad...

More progress at our home! They are busy grading the pad with a special rock mixture... you can see the different color where all the cement will go. They haven't gotten to the inside of the house yet, but the garage and porches are finished here in these pictures. They finished the "shading" or covering of all of the plumbing with another special rock mixture-- I can't remember what they call this though. We have to wait for the city to come back out and pat our builder on the back and tell him he did it right! (Insert eye roll here!) These inspections are getting so crazy because they want to come out at every step!! And WE have to pay these guys to tell us what we already know! Ugh!! Oh well... We should be ready pretty soon for the cement to be poured... crossing fingers that it will happen soon, because then we can FRAME!!! Yay!!!
