San Diego! Day 8-- Father's Day!!
6.21.2020

Today was an awesome day! Father’s Day! I got up early to start the process of packing and get showered. We checked out at 10am and said goodbye to Robin. We headed to San Diego and even saw the temple on the way in! We didn’t see it yesterday when we came for kayaking because it had been so foggy!! We enjoyed walking around the little shops in La Jolla. We meandered down the hill by the beach and found a little cove with TONS of Sea Lions!! They’re so cute!! We watched them for quite a while! They are fun to watch and we were able to get pretty close! There were lots of little babies!! We had lunch at Dukes— outside on the patio overlooking the ocean. They have such good food!! Dad opened his cards and gifts. I got him this neck hammock. It’s supposed to relieve neck pain and help your alignment and posture. I also got him a key chain that you can connect with an app so when you lose your keys you can find them! Pretty cool! After we finished there we walked around and found a Haagen Dazs ice cream store, so we figured one last time for ice cream before we all go home and start eating healthy again! We walked around the stores some more and found a cute little t-shirt, beachy store. We got Megan and Todd shirts, Katelyn a sweatshirt and she also found a really cute ring. I bought some cute hand sewn masks... Peoria is now requiring them everywhere now due to a spike in COVID cases again! Ugh! The masks are really cute though! When we finished at that store it was time to take Megan and Todd to the airport. When we got to the Brooke called for Father's Day! It worked out so perfectly!! We got to see eachother before Todd and Megan got on the plane and then we got to talk for quite a while after, as we drove home to AZ! We really enjoyed that!! We drove home and I noticed the temps outside slowly rising on our gage! Ugh! It has been such a nice week here in San Diego! I will be glad to get home, though and some rest from all this relaxing! Hahahahaha!! I'm missing my bed too! It has been so much fun and even better to spend time with everyone and just being together!
