We woke up early for the Kanosh 5k. We had to be there for a 6:30am race time. All of our family ran except for Bill, who got lots of pictures as we finished. It was fun to race with a bunch of family members! There were a lot of us! Emma Thurman and I ended up running together for most of the race. It was fun that Todd ran too, even though he hates running! He's competitive enough that he couldn't NOT do it! Hahahaha! :) After we all got showered and cleaned up, we went to the Kanosh 24th of July parade and then headed over to the pit bbq lunch there. After that, we headed over to Meadow to Grandma's house where we visited and the kids all played wallyball again. Then Nash Rasmussen, Brooke, Katelyn, Jed and Mary went up Kanosh Canyon to swim at the "Bath Tub"-- a swimming hole Jed made by damming the water. They celebrated Mary's birthday with a cupcake in the car! (We told them if they had a candle to do it in the car because of all the fire danger this year-- everything is so dry!) They had fun jumping into the water off of the side from a small cliff. After, they went swing dancing at the Kanosh dance that night. They had a live band and really had fun! Todd and Megan went back home to Provo. Bill, me and McKenzie went and got Costa Vida for dinner and went and saw Daniel and Jessica's house there in Fillmore. It was such a cute house! It was built in 1937 and was in such good condition. They've decorated it really cute! Then we went back to Meadow and saw Frank and Stacee's house which is a total fixer-upper! They are thrilled to have their own home and don't seem to mind! We drove back to Kanosh and I tried to go to bed early, but got woken up by a cell phone call at 11:30 from Megan and all my girls being noisy when they got home later from that dance! It was another fun day, though...
