Our Family Vacation-- Let the Good Times Roll! (It all started in Utah with an Alex Boye Concert!!)

So we made the long drive to Utah early this morning and had rainstorms and lightning storms the whole way! It was even a beautiful cool and windy morning in Arizona!  We dropped off our big trailer we are pulling full of wedding gifts for Megan and Todd, a new fridge and range for the condo, etc. in Kanosh and picked up Mary and Abigail and headed to Fillmore for the Alex Boye Concert.  It was even raining in Fillmore!  They had food trucks and a small carnival going on in the Fillmore park when we got there, so we got some food (not very good) and walked around.  Then we decided to set up our chairs for the concert to get a good spot and to get the big umbrella set up because it was raining and we wanted some cover.  Megan and Todd met us at the park shortly after we got there.  It was so fun to see them again and be all together.  (They will be staying with us at Jenell's house for the reunion and through the 24th.) 

The rain ended up stopping and it was clear and cool for the concert!  We met up with other family members and it was fun to see everyone again!  (Rasmussens, Lowrys, Thurmans, etc.)  Cousins were everywhere-- Katelyn was especially in heaven with all the cousins her age!! Alex Boye was so fun and so entertaining!  He really interacted with the crowd and came down and talked amongst the people in between his songs.  At one point, he came down and spoke with Greg Rasmussen and was amazed by his height!  I love his British accent too!  After the concert, he stuck around for a long time and signed autographs and took pictures with everyone!  Super fun and what a great way to start off our vacation and family reunion!  So fun!!
