Today was a really fun day! Bill and I, JD and Angela and Beckie and Greg were in charge of breakfast, so we left Jenell's a little early to go to the store to get our assignment which was 4 gallons of milk and 2 gallons of OJ and 2 gallons of apple juice!! We cooked scrambled eggs, pancakes and hash browns with all the fixings. All of today's activities were at the Fillmore City Capitol Park. There was a large ramada with lots of pic nic tables. Our girls and Todd and Megan came when it started at 9am. After breakfast we played lawn games. They had life sized Lincoln Logs and the cousins built a real fort! It was great! We also played lots of Spike Ball-- a game I'd never heard of until today, but I guess it's all the rage in Utah! We had a family volleyball tournament. Our team consisted of Todd, Megan, me, Bill and Greg Rasmussen. we played several games throughout the afternoon and won every game and finally, later on, we won the championship game! It was super fun! Bill also brought his Frisbee golf game and everyone enjoyed playing that as well. the games were all fun because we got to socialize with everyone! We had a pizza lunch at the Ramada and then continued our games. We all went to the Fillmore Pool-- just a quick 3 minute walk. After getting all changed and in our suits, I hadn't even gotten into the pool, the guards blew their whistle and we all had to exit the pool. Some little kid went poo and it ruined it for all of us! We got refunds but were still a little bummed. It was a warm day and we all wanted to cool off! (We decided that next year we'd just rent the pool all to ourselves and just divide the cost-- which would actually be cheaper per family anyway! Ugh!!) We went back to the park and relaxed in the shaded and visited while Bill, Beckie and Todd went to go get a large slippy slide for the kids to all cool off. We had a really delicious Taco dinner also at the Ramada and then after, a family slide show. Each member of the family showed pictures of their family and explained what each one was doing, etc. It was a long program with 12 siblings! After that, we walked over to the Territorial State House and had Square Dancing on the 2nd floor. It was really warm, but we had a lot of fun and we learned dances I've never seen before that were REALLY fun! Jenell had a couple from town come and teach us some fun things! It was LATE by the time we got home to Jenell's! We all went to bed around 12:30am! Lots of late nights!
