A Sad Day...

Bill and I went to Thane Thalman's funeral today.  It was a sad day but in all the sadness, it was good to attend such a beautiful tribute to a great man!  I am always inspired at these times to be a little bit better!  Our thoughts and prayers have been constantly given in Karla and her family's' behalf, as they set out to be without their husband and dad.  We were asked to think of a memory of Thane and send it to Karla.  I was reminded of the bumble bee pins he gave to anyone in the region, as they gave service.  I was even presented with one at one of the Regional Meetings.  (You didn't have to be a financial advisor to earn one.)  He was a great regional leader!  I'm going to sit down soon and write a letter to Karla with some of these great memories of her husband.  He lost a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer, but he was a true fighter and never gave up!  Many people from Edward Jones were in attendance at the funeral today, and most were wearing their bumble bee pins!
