Seriously this build is trying my patience. Things are moving so slowly right now. I'm trying so hard to have a positive attitude, but today was hard. Nobody came today and when I showed up to see progress, I saw that all the decorative top layer of bricks on the front of our house had been taken down. I reached out to my builder to ask why and he said he had them take them down because they were crooked and not done right. Well, they've been up for 2 weeks! Why couldn't they have been taken down sooner!?? And it's been windy, so the painter hasn't been able to finish the exterior, but now we have to wait for these bricks to be re-installed... it's just one thing after another. The tiling on the inside is happening, but it is SLOW too! They have all the floors laid, but they haven't grouted them yet. They did fix the Master Shower, so that was good to see! (They tiled all the way up instead of stopping halfway up on the 2 walls in the entry.) The plumber has also been there and has started installing fixtures in the Master Bath as well. We got the connector thing installed for the freestanding tub and he also put the shower fixtures in. I feel like this is so slow though... I feel like ALL the fixtures could be put in by now! This is a slow process, but I'm getting very antsy because we need to move in soon-- like by the end of May! Terry has said that it will be done by then, but it takes all the subs so much more time to do their thing. And they don't do it until a week after Terry says they're coming-- at BEST!! (Some come much later than that!) I just hope things start to pick up!! Praying it will!!
