HAPPY LATE EASTER
Another week full of miracles and holy moly y'all! I can't express how grateful I am to be on a mission here and be a witness to God's hand in everything! Willie, Anna-Lisa, and Jalisa are all witnesses of God's love and guidance:,) They are AMAZING and working to get baptized in April!

Willie is one of the most good and fun and kind and humble people I've ever met!!! He has already read through 3 Nephi and asked for the Doctrine and Covenants to start reading!! His only hold back is smoking but this man went from smoking 40 cigarettes a day to less than 4 a week! Pray pray pray for him because he wants to be baptized so badly!
Anna-Lisa took a Book of Mormon class in high school and learned a lot from her mom about the bible before she passed. She is one of the only people that actually read the pamphlet we gave her our first time meeting her lol. She wants to increase her connection with God and have more Hope and Peace with her mom's passing! Pray that she can come to church and find that fulness that the gospel promises through her Covenants with God!
Jalisa!!! I talked about her last week (sorry for the typo in her name) and she is just so solid and in tune with the Spirit--it's absolutely incredible. As we talked about Joseph Smith seeing God and Jesus Christ it had to be one of the most spiritual witnesses that I have seen and felt of his first vision being real and tangible and true!
Pray for all of these people that they can withstand the opposition that always comes when we make our journeys closer to God!
Seeds of Faith
Members have been such a huge testimony builder for me this week!!!
A lesson we had with a lady named Joan would have fallen through because we were running late but Sister Sommers got there before us and convinced her to hurry back!!! We had a super powerful lesson on the Book of Mormon that would have never happened without this loving member and her testimony! Members have worked sooo many more miracles for the people we teach and church on Easter was the best thing ever!!! One of the most inclusive, wholesome and welcoming wards ever! I love them already! One of them spoke on Easter Sunday (literally quoted Rocky, Kong Fu Panda, and Tim McGraw all in one talk lol) about how Christ's Resurrection allows us to overcome anything and I loved this quote:

"We glory in tribulations
For tribulations work patience
Patience experience
And experience hope."
All of these are necessary for us to find true undying hope in Christ's undying Atonement!

*INVITATION*
Pray to know what God needs of you to have a deeper hope in Christ. And GO TO LESSONS WITH THE MISSIONARIES!! Your testimony and experience will help those we teach find patience and hope in there experiences!!!
Pockets of Fun
-SNOOP DOG- had a lesson with him and may have gotten on the topic of porcupines while talking about God's plan which may have been a challenge word from Daines for me to somehow incorporate into the lesson which may have failed and led to John calling me a porcupine because of my frizzy hair lol. (But Daines somehow slipped Narwal into the convo soooo smoothly at a dinner--she's a queen. Her 1, me 0.)
-Let the cockroach wars begin again. I've avoided them for the majority of my mission but now one snuck into our SINK and we freaked out.)
-We almost got shot (not actually mom--don't freak out lol) but no joke we heard a gun shot reallyyyyy close to where we were so that was sketch...
-Celebrated Nick Howard's bday and had to get him a birthday crown of course.
-So I've made it a goal to drink a ton more water (3 Stanley's a day y'all) and so this comes with consequences... We had 3 lessons in a row and no time for a bathroom break so Daines made me hold it for 45 MINUTES until we made it to a members house and I literally ran in without knocking and went pee so fast. It was an emergency BAHA. The member is super chill though. Shout out to Ryan!
-A member showed us his sick skating tricks--pretty epic!
-Got to go to a Mission Leadership Conference and learn lots and see other missionaries that I LOVE SM.
-We also had a Zone Conference meeting (soooo many meetings and planning haha) with the missionaries in the Columbia Zone so that was fun and uplifting!
-On our way home for the night it was pouring rain and we rolled the windows down and jammed out to some gospel TUNES...best feeling eva!
-Daines sneaks a lot of pictures of people we teach, so most of the pics I have are of random people during lessons haha. It's awesome!
-We gave Willie a quad so he can have all the books of scripture to read--so amazing!
-Ryan made a lamb cake for Easter (and his fam was definitely partying too) haha.
-We went golfing/on the drive range? with Sister Sommer today and she taught us how to golf. It was fun but I hit the ground more times than I hit the ball lol. But def may be doing it more. I never understood the hype until she taught us today. It's so fun and relaxing! (Even though one of my arms is so sore.)

Gratitude
-Wild flowers are EVERYWHERE here!!
-Just the kindness of people
-The Resurrection of Jesus Christ!!!
-I love the lessons we get to have every week and I have felt the Spirit during them the strongest I have ever felt in my LIFE--especially telling the First Vision y'all. It is so powerful.
