Katelyn had her first home meet v. Verrado! She did the Medley Relay (breast stroke), the 200 Free, the
100 Fly and the 200 Free Relay all in lane 4, which I timed, so I had the best
place to see her! (Hence the good pictures!) She did well and is looking really good! We
have a new assistant coach, Coach Kruppa, who is a member of the church in
Pinnacle Peak ward, but he’s new to our stake so I introduced myself to him at
the meet. He LOVES Katelyn! He said that her drive is amazing and
that he can’t believe how hard she is working on the Fly and what a great
example she is to other swimmers. I think that’s really cool that he said
that about her! That always makes a mom smile! I’m proud of
Katelyn. She’s motivated. Both Dilworth and him were laughing at
Katelyn because on the 100 Fly she was right behind Verrado’s lane 5 who was
winning, and she saw her on the last flip turn and just turned on her turbo booster
and ended up beating her on the last 25! Hahaha! So she got a 1st
place for the team in that event! Hahaha! (The other girl
wasn’t too happy because Katelyn didn’t know she’d beaten her at the end of the
race because it was so close so she was asking her her time, and then she asked
me her time and the girl knew she’d beaten her and was kind of irritated at her
excitement when Katelyn realized she’d beaten her!! Haha! I love it!! J) It was a fun meet! (Even
though we lost badly!) Below is Katelyn's 200 Free and then the next 3 are the 100 Fly.,..
