Chalking & Truth or Dare (Brooke's Letter)

9.09.2019

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are happy and doing well!

It has been quite the week! We've been trying new things and making the work even more fun! We did some Chalking which I LOVED. We are also trying truth or dare... haha yes so we have a truths bag full of thought provoking questions and then a dare bag full of kind acts of service and things! It has been a lot of fun and we have talked to a lot of cool people! We even had a mini mighty miracle where we found the cutest girl and had a really neat conversation with her doing the truth or dare game and now she wants to learn more! So that's exciting! :)
We are also starting to sing and play the guitar! Haha if you know me you know I can't sing but Sister Campos can and she is helping me! So be looking for our next hit song ;)

One of my favorite scriptures this week  :)
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
Jesus Christ can give us lasting joy, happiness and peace, unlike the world which gives us short lived "happiness." I can't count the number of times I tell myself, "Aw everything would be just great if I could just have a cookie or some chocolate right now..." and then I eat some and it makes me "happy" but it doesn't last long before I am back again craving another brownie! Christ gives peace, hope and joy "not as the world giveth" and it is long lasting and perfect for us individually! I know that! We don't need to be troubled or afraid when we have Christ!
I love you all and I hope you have a great week! Keep smiling! Smiles really do turn frowns upside down and can really turn days around! :)

Love, Sister Freeman

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
