First Swim Meet of the Season!

I wasn't able to go due to being in Utah with Megan, but Katelyn had her first meet on Thursday v. Willow Canyon and Valley Vista—SMHS actually won the meet!  (Our dive team is good this year and really helped us out!)  I guess a lot of our good swimmers weren’t even at this meet, so that’s pretty good!  Katelyn swam the 200 IM and the 100 Fly!  She got a 1:02 in the Fly!  She was excited about that!  She didn’t tell me what she got in the 200 IM.  She got 2nd places in all of her events, including relays! (She also swam in the Medley relay and in the 400 Free relay.)  It was away at the Surprise Aquatic Center.  I was sorry to have missed her first meet!  I felt badly about that! Below is a funny picture of Katelyn!  She's LOOKING at the camera, almost as if she's posing for the picture! (You're supposed to be looking straight ahead in the Fly!)  I bet coach will have something to say about that picture!  Below is the Breast stroke so that must've been in her IM.  Someone else took these pictures and posted them on Shutterfly.  Bill's phone was dead, so he didn't get any pictures at this meet.  Pretty cool shots!  I think these 2 shots are from the IM because they are taken from the same lane...and from the same angle!  I'm so excited to see Katelyn compete this year!
