Long Course Regional Championships~ Brooke! (Day 1)

Brooke swam in LC Regionals this weekend... this is a picture of her swimming the 50 Free at the Westside YMCA pool in Goodyear.  We are super-proud of all your hard work with LC this summer Brooke!  It takes GUTS to try something you've never done before, and less than 2 short months later be able to qualify for Regionals!  (She qualified for 6, yes you heard that right, 6 events but only swam 2-- one tonight and one tomorrow.  Some of the events were on Sunday and some she decided she didn't want to swim. Coach Chris was really excited about her Breastroke events, but they were all on Sunday!  Darn!!  That's the stroke that now 2 coaches say she's really good at.  The other one was the BYU coach up at swim camp a few years ago... his exact words were "she's a natural at that stroke".  I wish she thought so!  Maybe we can get her to focus a little bit more on it during HS swim this Fall... maybe????)
