Championship Prelims~ Katelyn!

Katelyn had a great meet this morning at the prelims at Sunrise pool, to qualify for championships next week.  She swam the 100 IM, 50 Free and 50 Fly!  She is one determined girl!  She did so well with her times and is qualified to swim all  three events next week.  She is seeded 4th overall in the 50 Free, 3rd overall in the 100 IM, and 2nd overall in the 50 Fly.  And the difference between 1st place and her seed is fingernails!  She could pull this off and do really well at the Finals!  She is scheduled to work with Chris at Sunwest next week to get some extra practice and coaching before this big meet!

These first 4 pictures are of her IM.  (I missed pics of the Fly because I was taking them of another swimmer who I thought was Katelyn!  Here's the backstroke leg...

Coming in to the wall on the Freestyle leg...she almost got 1st place...missed it by just a hair!

(Backstroke was her demise!  None of my girls like that stroke!!)

It was a REALLY close touch!  We thought she might've pulled it out, 

but the other girls was faster on the touch!  Katelyn's Freestyle leg was AMAZING!

So she earned two 2nd place finishes in the IM and Freestyle and a 1st place in the Fly!

She's happy with these results and looking forward to championships next week... BRING IT ON!!!
