We took some pictures in Stadt Park after my run. In the morning there was no trash because they had grounds keepers that came early to pick it all up, so I was able to see a beautiful park. It was a great place to run... and many were there doing just that!
I love this weeping willow tree!
The breakfast spread...
Everday we enjoyed this!
In Europe, breakfast is always included in your room rate.
A picture at the Spa before my wonderful massage!
Schonbrunn Palace!
We visited the carriage house first.
(Explanation of previous picture)
Elizabeth's, or Sissy as they call her, court dress. Notice the waist! She was tiny and apparently infatuated with being so. Some guides even went as far as to say that she was anorexic!
Tow men's hands could fit around her waist!
Beautiful embroidery!
(Explanation of the picture below.)
This one's my favorite! It looks like Cinderella's carriage!
Later on...
This palace so reminded me of the Palace of Versailles!
So many beautiful and ornate rooms!
Bakery after to tour for some Viennese apple strudel!
The beautiful grounds of the palace!
The back of the palace with me standing on the balcony of the ground floor.
The view from the palace!
Bill taking pictures of me!
Me taking pictures of Bill!
The grounds went on and on for what seemed like miles!
We did a lot of walking to get to this monument.
On the way back to the busses we saw this street performer...
we saw these guys all over Austria... a lot of them playing Mozart!
We found this on our walk on the way to dinner! I wanted to get a charm
that symbolized our trip to Austria, but they didn't have a piano, violin or musical note
of any kind. Just down the street I found a treble clef charm so I bought that.
Cafe Central...this place was recommended by our concierge at the
hotel as really good, typical Austrian food.
It was really good, and not very expensive and the service was great!
Walking distance from our hotel in downtown Vienna!
Austrian "Lemonade". It is carbonated and pretty good,
but it doesn't taste like lemonade!
