Puerto Vallarta!

It was ANOTHER amazing day! The weather was gorgeous! We docked and were one of the first ones off the boat to make it to our tour. We saw these iguanas while we were on our way to board our speedboats to the Ziplining place. We got to see Humpback Whales while we were on our way over! Pretty amazing!! We landed on this cute little beach and then hiked up a hill and caught our big truck with benches for another ride into the mountains. It was gorgeous scenery as we ascended! It reminded me so much of the flora and fauna of Brazil and the jungle there! We arrived at Los Veranos and got geared up for ziplining!! This was an awesome place! There were 16 lines and they were all really long ones! I've never done so many at once before. It involved a lot of strenuous hiking but it was so worth it! The views were breathtaking! We'd worked up a pretty good appetite, so we ate lunch afterward-- which was more like dinner because it was pretty late in the afternoon--about 4:30 by the time we finished the ziplining. We had THE best mango smoothies! The mango was so ripe and sweet. They said all they put in it was mango and ice! SO GOOD!!!! We also had yummy chips, salsa and guacamole. The Mexicans have mastered these! I guess they invented them so that's why! Hahaha! We ordered a bunch of street tacos-- carne asada, fish and chicken. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs an we were barely able to finish all of them, but they were sooooo good! After we went to their little petting zoo and got to hold a macaw, an albino python (that almost had Brooke for a snack! hahaha!!) and monkeys, although I can't remember what kind they were. We got to feed them and when we went into their cage they just jumped on us to get our banana mash or whatever it was. They were cute! Brooke got smacked in the face with a tail-- pretty funny! We walked around after dinner. It was too cold to go in the water but they had kayaks and paddle boards that would've been fun. It was getting dark and it was starting to get cold. We boarded our little truck and headed back to Puerto Vallarta. It was a lot longer going back by land and we hit some pretty bad traffic too! We weren't as worried about getting back on the boat because there were a lot of people on our tour from the boat. It was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in that truck-- we felt every bump for over an hour! The benches weren't very comfortable. (They were just bars.) But we made it and didn't miss the boat! It was such a fun day. The ziplining was amazing, the food was amazing and the animals were so fun to hold! Yet another day of packing it all in!! We also got to talk to Katelyn yesterday for a bit and we also got to talk to her again today. She waited for our call to open all her Christmas gifts. It was fun to see her and hear about all of her adventures and neat things going on! I'm so glad our tech was working-- for the first part of the call it was really choppy and we couldn't hear her very well, and then it started to work. Crazy day!!
