This transfer has gone so DAGUM fast! (Katelyn's Letter)

8.28.2022

Hey y'all!!!

So transfers are this week and so I'm almost done with training! It's so crazy I can't believe it! I'll keep y'all updated on what happens-- literally anything could and I'm slightly terrified haha!

Seeds of Faith
A member gave a REALLY good talk at church based on President Nelson's talk on spiritual momentum! God knew I needed her insights cuz I actually did a discussion at a meeting on the SAME talk! Her speaking was literally like a general conference talk. I wish I had recorded it! Along with the points from Nelson's talk that y'all should read, Sister Jones gave 3 questions that God and Jesus Christ have asked her during a rough time in her life:
1. "Do you have faith in me?"
2. "Do you trust me?"
3. "Do you believe I did what I said I did?"
God will always be there for us and Christ's Atonement will always stand for us but we need to have FAITH, TRUST, and BELIEVE! That is something I have really had to learn so far on my mission! Here's one final question to ask yourselves RIGHT NOW: Am I where I need to be to get the answers to my questions?

*INVITATION*
Ponder the 4 questions above and whatever you are going through make sure you are where God needs you to be! I know I am:)

Pockets of Fun (and gross)
-Tommy got fake cockroaches and put them in my bathroom... ahem that was quite a traumatic experience. All I gotta say is if we get another transfer together I will most def be getting her back...
-We got Zaxby's for the first time on my 100 day mark!!! It's SOOO GOOD y'all I think it rivals Canes.
-So we were cleaning out our fridge and found spaghetti that a member gave us a longgggg time ago soooo that was disgusting and moldy.
-We had to go to the car place yet again to get our tire fixed haha. Probs from driving through one too many ditches.
-We made homemade hot cocoa in the microwave from scratch and it wasn't too bad! I think the butt load of whipped cream that we put on it made it better!
-Got to go on a blitz with Sister Gibbons and it was super cool to hear her conversion story. She is amazing and we heart attacked someone's door too!

Gratitude
ZAXBY'S:))
Sunsets and rises
Laughing and crying haha
Beautiful fields and green spaces!
Tommyyy and all she has taught me-- love her tons!

Southern Vocab
Bojangles: It's another southern restaurant (the boberrry biscuit is SO good) but we also use it as a fun word for emphasis.
"You scared the bojangles out of me!!"

Pictures:)

hello
Hello! I’m Mindy. I love Spring and Fall weather, the BYU Cougars, reading, hiking and of course…my family! I LOVE being with them doing just about anything…but usually attending one of their games or just hanging out!
