A Day at Newport Beach with the FAM BAM!

We all enjoyed such a nice day at the beach today! We stayed ALL day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves-- including Luke! It was his FIRST day at the beach! He tried several times to eat the sand and finally decided it wasn't good to eat! He seemed to really enjoy the water and playing in the sand and crawling around. Grandpa also gave him lots of rides on the boogie board! It was super cold when we first got there but the clouds finally burned off and it turned into a beautiful sunny day! We enjoyed a nice pic nic lunch with all the goodies. Todd was the only one to boogie board but everyone enjoyed building a sand castle and having it destroyed by the tide and then changing it to a volcano! Lukey also enjoyed being buried in the sand by his daddy and was covered in sand by the time we left-- in fact we were ALL covered in sand by the time we left! We got ice cream on the way home and fought traffic the entire way... but cooled and rinsed off in the pool when we got back to Robin's house. We bbq'd hot dogs and had a yummy fruit salad for dinner to top off the day!!
