Katelyn's Cute New "Do"!

Katelyn has been wanting to cut her hair and donate it for quite some time now!  She bravely cut over 12" off today!!  It looks SUPER cute!  She loves it and so does everyone who sees her!  Alison is so much fun... she sent me the below text message later on that evening (I didn't see it until late), telling me how she feels peace, which she knows is the Spirit, around our family!  I was not expecting her to give all these sweet compliments about our family, but it really brought home to me how important it is to be kind and show love to all we come in contact with!  We just never know how much people need to feel Heavenly Father's love through us!  AND, the very cool thing about this was, that I had been having kind of a rough time and hearing this wonderful compliment really helped ME to feel better!  If she had kept her feelings to herself, I would never have known...so I'm so glad she spoke up!  It's nice to know that we can sometimes make a difference and be a happy influence on others.  I believe, though, that it happens much more than we think... we just aren't aware or being told about it.  Kindness matters!  Showing Christlike love matters!!  Even though we may just think we're having fun and enjoying time with someone...it matters!  I'm so glad she recognized that as the Spirit!  We really do love her...I hope someday that she can come back to full activity in the church, but for now, it's good enough that she knows she's loved by us, and more importantly her Heavenly Father!
