SMHS @ Estrella Foothills and Brooke's Honor Bee Recognition...

Today was a fun day and we enjoyed gorgeous weather!  Katelyn had a track meet at Estrella Foothills and it was located smack dab in the middle of Saguaro cactuses and beautiful rolling hills! It was such a beautiful setting for a cool, but sunny breezy spring day in AZ!  Katelyn did the 100 Hurdles and the 300 Hurdles.  I could only stay for the 100 because I had to drive from there straight to Brooke's Honor Bee Recognition night at the Nally's house.  Bill met me there.  It was fun to watch Katelyn, as she is learning to do the hurdles, but I think the hurdles are also the culprit for all her injuries which are making it hard for her to run the events that she's REALLY good at.  Still, I love to be at a track meet watching my girl compete!  She's awesome in my eyes at anything she does!

 

 

Then, here are some pictures of the recognition night.  This year Brooke got her Honor Bee by reading the entire Book of Mormon again, and doing 40 hours of service in the community.  We are super proud of Brooke and were so excited that we got to attend this dinner and program with her!  The girls that got it in our ward are, L-R: Brooke (Honor Bee), Julie Andersen (Medallion), Makay Baker (Medallion), Kylie Abbott (Medallion) and Joanne Anderson (Honor Bee).  That's Julie Spear in the background... she's such a great Young Women President to these girls!  The bottom picture is all the girls from the Stake...
