Katelyn Gets Her Braces OFF, Kitchen Backsplash Going In, And Brooke Is Officially 17!!!

We had a very eventful day today! It started early this morning with a 2 hr. Orthodontist appt. for Katelyn! SHE GOT HER BRACES OFF AND SHE'S SO EXCITED!! That was fun and she looks so much older and more mature! That's so weird that she looks that much different with just her braces missing! High school her you come, Katelyn!

Now the backsplash is going in as well...there's still a lot that needs to happen before this kitchen is finished, but it is getting more and more beautiful and I can see it all coming together so nicely!

I love the tile I chose! It's perfect!!

I'm so glad I chose to have the tile go all the way around the kitchen window and up to the ceiling like the cabinets! It's encased by tile chair rail to make the window look like a framed picture! This is definitely the focal point of the kitchen and I'm so pleased with how good it looks already!

And Brooke is OFFICIALLY 17!! Look at this cute picture Allie Hart posted on Instagram! I remember this day like it was yesterday...hum...it kinda seems like yesterday! I miss this age and how cute Brooke was as a 4 yr. old, but I love the beautiful young woman she is becoming!!
