He'd wedged himself in a corner--probably to keep warm and out of the wind-- it was quite windy!
Breakfast!
He has beautiful scallops around his neck!

...very photogenic!
A lot happened today on our kitchen renovation, and by the end of it, there was only flooring, a stove and a refrigerator left standing in my kitchen! I'm really getting excited for my new kitchen. It will be beautiful!
All of our granite was successfully removed without incident (or breakage!) This was the first piece to come out of the 6 total pieces! WHEW!! What a relief that we don't have to replace it!
What's left of the desk area!
Cutting out the old drywall so they can replace with new.
Starting to take the lower cabinets out, which were unharmed when the granite came out!
More lower cabinets GONE!
What's left of the island...
What! It's GONE!
I mopped the floors after they left to get all the dry wall dust off of them. I don't want that nasty stuff to get ground in! They vacuumed really well for me though-- all I had to do was mop!
I can't wait for the next phase! Next Monday... CABINETS!!! :) :)
(In the meantime, the painters and electrician are coming so that we have a fresh coat of paint and all the wiring done for the under-cabinet lighting and pendants.)
