Katelyn is HOME!!!!!!!!!
12.09.2023

We arrived at the airport thinking we were cutting it close with Katelyn's flight getting in, but it turns out we had plenty of time! Jamie was there (again!) to take pictures for me! She is such a good friend to me!! Once Katelyn's flight came in, it took forever for passengers to get off, but then I think she was the LAST person off that plane! I think we waited the longest for Katelyn of the 3 girls! (Or maybe it was just the anticipation building!) When I saw her, I got so emotional! I couldn’t wait for her to get through that door! She came running to me and I got to hug her so tight and it was amazing! Wow! We stayed for quite a while hugging and talking and Jamie got pictures of it all! We finally went down to baggage claim and we had to go to the Delta counter to claim her bags because it had been so long! Another sister missionary was on the same plane coming from Kentucky and they instantly bonded during the trip because they were completely alone at the layover in Atlanta. When they saw each other at the gate they were so relieved. So cute! I'm glad Katelyn had someone to wait with... although-- she got off the plane MUCH faster than Katelyn! She was visiting with her family for at least 10 minutes before Katelyn came through-- what seemed like a lifetime! Dad and I took her to get released by President Pottle. (President Worlton wasn't there.) Afterward, we met up with everyone for dinner at Olive Garden. We have had so much fun catching up and laughing and enjoying having everyone together! (Except for Todd-- he had a volleyball tournament for his club team in CA this weekend.) Katelyn has had fun getting to know Luke. He was just a baby when she left, so he was a little hesitant at first, but he has warmed up to her! We are excited to have her home! Best Christmas present EVER! Welcome home Katelyn! (She thinks it's "brown" here-- hahaha!!)
