Brooke's Surprise!!!!

So I managed to surprise everyone with Brooke coming home for Katelyn's homecoming tomorrow. (Katelyn still doesn't know.) I got Megan to stay another night. (It was easy, 'cuz Todd is still out of town and I told her she might as well stay until tomorrow and just be here for the ward Christmas breakfast and all the festivities with Katelyn getting home. We were watching a movie tonight, and Brooke just nonchalantly walks down the stairs. Both Megan and Dad jumped up to give her a big hug! They were so suspicious and it took everything I had to keep it a secret. Jamie picked her up from the airport because Megan and Dad were getting suspicious-- they'd seen a note on my calendar about picking Brooke up. So I couldn't leave to go get her... it was all really hard to keep a secret and I slipped a couple of times, too, but was able to cover it up really quickly. It's an exciting time in our family and Brooke could NOT miss this!!! I had a pretty convoluted story about how Brooke couldn't come because she had a big group project due on Saturday. I told Brooke to play along, too! Soooo... we did it! The surprise was a success!!!
