I (mom) got this cute text from this member in South Carolina... Katelyn is well taken care of out there! I love these members! Here's what she said: "We love your daughter! Thank you for sharing her with us here in SC. She is an amazing missionary. We raise bison and thought the Sisters should try a Bison burger. This is their first bite."

Riska Take Over 😚 (Katelyn's Letter)
11.27.2023
AYOOOOO WHAT UPPP!!!
It's Riska here hahahah I'm doing an act of service today by writing Freeman's email this week. Slay.
We went on exchanges this week and Freeman and I were together hahaha go figure. Just like the old days. This time we had no rules though...not babies anymore. Okay wait actually we still had the standards so ig we did have and follow rules. Anyway. Exchanges went crazy. We taught some good lessons. The first one we had with Ann which was so cool to see that she had kept her commitment of reading the Book of Mormon and she loved it. We taught her the Restoration and she said it all made sense! She's the cutest. We also taught Gerry about temples and her prayer at the end was so slay. She was like, "God I'm done fighting. I'm ready to do Your will." LIKE WHO SAYS THAT IN A PRAYER?????? Beasts do. Gerry is an absolute beast. She also showed up to church an hour early and rode the mile there IN HER WHEELCHAIR IN THE FREEZING COLD! She is all in for the Lord.
We also had DCM which was a party in and of itself. We aren't called the slaystrict for no reason. Anyway I thought y'all would be interested in hearing that we all dubbed Freeman as a Ukranian. She just looks like she has Ukranian roots. That slays. Our district is so close it's crazy. Like a little family.
OH MY GOSH!! We also had this Interfaith Alliance meeting and it was so cool. Idk if any of y'all have been preached/yelled at by a preacher before, but I say y'all go experience it. It's life changing. Definitely made church on Sunday feel a little funky hahaha. It was so cool though because everyone showed so much respect for each other. 10/10 experience for sure.

This is all I can type lol--idk what else she did this week. Y'all fr be blessed with her presence though. I love Freeman and it's so fun that we spent so much of our missions together. She is queen. She's an earthly angel if I've ever met one. Take it back Freebs :)
*Hey y'allllll this is Freebs:)*
THANKSGIVING WAS ALSO A PARTY!! Had a meeting with leadership from 3 zones and had a turkey bowl after. Greenville East won of course! Then we went to Bison Berry Farms for the Harmon family Thanksgiving with bison, guns and chickens... then we went to the Courtney's where we played ukulele and guitar and had a huge debate on whether it was weird to put olives on your fingers as a kid... also here is the authentic Southern Thanksgiving: fried turkey, hush puppies, fried okra, creamed corn, collard greens, squash casserole, potatoes (taters) and gravy, coleslaw, Southern Mac and Cheese, and all the other fixins';) We also had left over thanksgiving meals with members and now have left overseas for a month lol... We do not starve here in Spartanburg.
Southern Vocab
Cookout vs. Barbeque: a cookout is a party with hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. But a barbeque is a full on smoked meat/pig picking so if your coming to a barbeque...better expect the best ribs and brisket eva!

Game Day Breakfast
11.25.2023
Robin treated us all to breakfast at Village Inn this morning... right before the Buckeyes played! We got home just in time for kickoff! Unfortunately neither the Bucks nor the Cougs won today... but we all wore our obligatory Ohio State shirts-- hahaha!!!
Bill's Garden...
