This week was an emotional ROLLER COASTER!
-CASEY GOT BAPTIZED!! Wow the Spirit was so strong and she was sooooo happy! Even looking at pictures taken right before verses after she was baptized and confirmed--she just has so much light in her! Holy I'm gonna miss her and Sheldon:( SO worth fighting a giant spider hanging in the baptismal font before we filled it up lol... *Much gratitude to Elder Nieves and Hicks for killing it for us.*
-I done got transferred. I CRIEDDDDDD! We had our last DCM together and made more memories. I love Conway district so so much.
-Said lots of Goodbyes :(((( I hate goodbyes but I'm glad to see that even in the short time I was in Conway the amount of love that I have for everyone there--holy moly...
-TRANSFERS were so fun. I love to see and talk to all the missionaries--very bitter sweet for sure. I said goodbye to more legends going home...
-Went to lunch with the new Aiken ZLs and STEVENS CREEK Sisters ahhhhh! It was fun to catch up with them and talk about my favs from Augusta.
-I am now in Gilbert/Lake Murray (Aiken Zone) with Sister Ray! Love her. Not gunna lie though--things have been crazy here this past transfer so we are both trying to help each other with change.
-Funny story: Our first contact together we literally drove up to a random homie PEEING off his front porch.... lol we in the boonies here for sure!
-It's fun though, because we have a more boonies area in Gilbert but Lake Murray is very nice and fancy (it gives me Stevens Creek vibes but not as rich lol) and the members are AWESOME. Church this Sunday helped me a lot with adjusting from leaving so many loved ones in Conway.
Southern Vocab
Golden Orb Weaver spider: A GIANT but harmless spider I always get confused with the banana spiders...
Spiritual Thought
I had a lot of thoughts asking God "why" this week. I didn't want to accept leaving Conway and coming up on the last 2 transfers of my mission in a new area I never expected or (ngl) wanted to be in. BUT every talk in the first ward we went to on Sunday were tailored to my feelings. One speaker talked about an impatience flower bush (kinda ironic name lol) that he just could not kill-- growing in the cracks of the cement in his backyard. Eventually he saw its beauty and let it flourish and it's the most beautiful plant in his yard now. He talked about how we can't always control where we go but we can control if we grow. Whether it's our own decisions or just life, we all end up in cracks and hard places. BUT we must take Christ as our living water and absorb the light of the living gospel as we grow and God can help us bloom wherever we are planted!
I have been moved around A LOT on my mission and this week I have been very tired thinking of all the places and people I have had to leave. But God basically yelled at me during this talk that He is going to continue to move me where He needs me, but I can still bloom wherever I am planted. So I plan to do exactly that. Doesn't matter where I go, I will choose to grow:)
LOVE Y'ALL!
P.S. We are going to be the first Sisters to bike in this mission in our smaller area Lake Murray lol. I just need to get a bike...
