This week has been POPPIN' OFF!!! I love all the people we get to talk to and learn from in a day. It's the best!
Seeds of Faith
OK I have an AWESOME person to brag about in this email who we are teaching. Her name is Jessica and she is literally so strong and looks forward with so much faith! She has had REALLY tough trials recently including her fiancé dying and has faced them so well. Her outlook on life is just amazing. I can't hype this girl up enough. She came to church for the first time and in Relief Society we were talking about overcoming trials and particularly death of loved ones (how inspired is that?!) and talked about how Christ was perfect and did EVERYTHING for us so we don't have to be! Too often we focus on who we want to be ten steps from now instead of facing who we are now and being kind to the person who has these struggles and problems now. That inhibits our ability to place those burdens on Jesus Christ! Jessica reiterated that we can only be us in the trials we face and trying to fake it or be like others just brings more pain but through Jesus all of that can be lifted off of us!
*INVITATION*
Focus on one step ahead of yourself instead of 10 this week and be kind to yourself! Christ suffered for your smallest insecurities so stop putting it on yourself and your idea that as members of this church we have to be the best version of ourselves because we can't be that all the time. That is literally what Christ is there for! Use Him to be kind to yourself:)
Pockets of Fun
-We've done lots of exploring and Nexton is just SO BEAUTIFUL DAGUM!
-Due to these many beautiful picture taking ops we were walking to the cotton field and my foot sank STRAIGHT into mud …completely submerged bahaha. But the pics were worth it!
-Brian, one of the people we are teaching, goes to the Spanish branch soccer night every week so we went too. It was a PARTY or should I say... FIESTAAA! Highlight of my week completely screwing up Spanish words and learning how to "trash" talk in Spanish bahaha. So fun!
-We had the Stake Jubilee/50 year anniversary on Saturday and helped paint kids faces with all the other missionaries in our zone. SO fun and messy but the kids were happy with their blobs that were supposed to be unicorns and spiders--so yay! Also our friend John came and really enjoyed it. He loved how family centered and inclusive our church is!
-We ran the Ravenel Bridge this morning as a district. Soooo fun!

-COTTON FIELDS: I heard this analogy in college that has always stuck out to me and it's that the Spirit usually works more with cotton balls than hammers! It's very rare for us to be knocked upside the head with the Spirit telling us what to do. It's more like gentle cotton balls that we have to pay attention to or we could miss it! A whole field of cotton balls seemed like a pretty reminder of the soft and pure nature of the Spirit and how He works:)
-I said it before and I will say it again but SUNRISES AND SETS ARE THE BEST!
-Jesus Christ literally allows us to overcome the big and especially the small!
-The Plan of Salvation. Especially what we know of after we die and how it truly allows all of us to be happy and understand God's perfect love!
-My awesome CUTE comp Sister KNUTSON (aka Kanooooo). I love her so much. She is so amazing AND positive and funny<3
