Race Day @ The Mesa Marathon...
2.12.2022

Below is what my view was before the start of my half marathon race this morning... before the race we got fireworks just after the National Anthem! It was a tough one today... harder than usual, but I kept a 9:38 pace and finished in 2:06 hours! Not my best time but not my worst either. I wanted to dedicate this race to Deanna Holdsworth who passed away in January, and then mom passed away last week, so I decided to dedicate it to both of them! I thought a lot about each of them and could feel them cheering me on! It put a smile on my face in an otherwise hard and painful situation! I also had this cute little guy cheering me on at home! So cute of Megan to think to send me these pictures with this cute little note! Bill also came to cheer me on throughout different points of the race and was there at the finish line as well. It was fun, but I'm so glad all the training and grueling mileage is finished and behind me!!
