A Visit to Our Old Stompin' Grounds-- Arcadia!
2.15.2022

While Robin was at work today, we decided to take a trip back to Arcadia down memory lane. We drove by the high school which is completely different with very large buildings added since I went there. We then drove by our house at 335 W Naomi-- it is still there which is amazing, considering all the Asians that are bull dozing everything to build massive homes-- but our house was in rack and ruin...honestly kind of depressing to see the home you grew up in that was once so beautiful change to this! (All the trees are gone except for the one by the curb.) We then went over to Temple City to see Grandpa and Grandma Smith's home at 9828 W Milo Anne-- it looked surprisingly well kept! Drove by the old red brick church where I went to Nursery School on Baldwin Avenue. We had lunch at Taco Lita, which is still yummy, but also very run down-- still the same old building where it always was. Things seem so small and close together now, where once everything seemed so big and spread apart! Arcadia as a whole just seemed very run down and a lack of care in the green areas... it was sad to see things in such poor condition! I almost wish we hadn't gone, but it was fun to remember... the good 'ol days!
