Tonight was the Swim team awards ceremony. We couldn’t have a banquet this year, and there were other restrictions on what we could do, so we just met in the auditorium and Coach recognized the team. Coach Dilworth did such a good job making the season as normal as possible for all the athletes. It was definitely different than any other season!! I’m grateful for her efforts to even have a season at all! She recognized everyone and said some sweet things about Katelyn. I think she’s a little emotional about it, because it’s our last year! We’ve been a part of that team for 10 SEASONS!! (Dilworth has only been at SMHS for 11 seasons!) So it was sweet to think about all those years and fun memories we’ve made on the team with all of our girls! It is definitely the end of an era! I am proud of Katelyn and all her accomplishments in Swim during her high school career! She has grown as an athlete, but even more, she has grown as a person! Just like the other 3 years, she put her ALL into her last season at SMHS! Even though things looked different, she made the best of it and really improved in her strokes and performance! Way to go Katelyn! We are so proud of you!!!
