Mustangs Swim and Dive Senior and State Team Dinner!!

I spent all day Thursday getting ready for the Senior/State Team dinner. I picked up the purple table cloths, then headed to Costco for the flowers, then went straight to the church to put together the tables and make 12 centerpieces. I had gone early that morning to help Bill set up the tables and chairs. We had it at the church this year and it worked out so perfectly because we had to have several more tables for social distancing and we had enough space to do that at the church. We had younger members of the church on the team come and help serve so that we didn’t have to do a buffet with everyone breathing on and touching the food. (Grace Hart and Heidi Hinton from the team and Bella Squire also came even though she’s not on the team and Hailey Hinton helped even though she’s not in HS ‘til next year.) They were so excited to come and help!! It ended up being really nice because it was fancier being served!! (AND we got our food faster!) It was a wonderful night. Katelyn got recognized as a Senior and also as a member of the State Team 4 years in a row!  The coaches said some really nice things about her and her work ethic.  They also kidded around about her funny side too.  Katelyn-- you will be missed on this Mustangs Swim and Dive Team!  Coach Dilworth has worked so hard to make this season feel as normal as possible and has really gone to bat for these kids! I’m so grateful for all her efforts. She’s awesome. I was SUPER tired when I got home that night, but felt happy inside that the night was such a nice evening for everyone involved. My feet were sore, but I was happy!!
